With ex-Raptors teammate Norm Powell, Fred Van Vleet creates a retail brand.

Norman Powell and Fred VanVleet may have parted ways with the Toronto Raptors, but that hasn't stopped them from forming a business partnership.

The "Bet On the Grind" line, inspired by VanVleet's "Bet On Yourself" and Powell's "Understand the Grind," was released today by the ex-teammates.

Powell wrote on Instagram, "[We] have come together to produce an exclusive, limited-edition merch capsule that pays honour to a friendship and people who have been counted out."

There are five goods in the initial launch: a cap, two t-shirt alternatives, a hoodie, and a crewneck sweater.

Powell and VanVleet were teammates with the Raptors from 2016 until 2021 when the latter was traded to Portland for Gary Trent Jr. and Rodney Hood. The pair's career highlight came during the 2019 playoffs when they lifted the Larry O'Brien trophy to celebrate Toronto's first-ever NBA title.
